Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr has been suspended for the next two games in La Liga following his red card in Friday's match against Valencia.

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) confirmed the ban on Tuesday, stating that Vinicius will miss upcoming league fixtures against Las Palmas and Real Valladolid. However, the suspension does not affect his participation in the Spanish Super Cup, where Real Madrid will face Mallorca on Thursday.

Vinicius was sent off in the second half of the Valencia match for slapping goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili. The incident occurred while Real Madrid were trailing 1-0.

The Brazilian star will now be unavailable for his club's league matches, but he remains a crucial part of Real Madrid's squad for the upcoming Super Cup.
