Reunion with Ronaldo? Reporter: Riyadh Victory or 30 million euros for Casemiro in the winter window

January 07, 2025 - Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has been updated on the transfer situation between Manchester United midfielder Casemiro and Saudi giants Riyadh Victory, according to renowned journalist Ben Jacobs.

Deal brokers from the Saudi side are said to believe that United midfielder Casemiro is being sold for around €30 million, which is the ideal price at which they believe they can sign the Brazilian midfielder from the Red Devils.

Last summer, when another Saudi giants, Jeddah United, attempted to sign Casemiro, it was made clear that they would not offer anything close to €70 million. It's worth noting that this price was also the transfer fee United paid to join from Real Madrid over 2 years ago.

At the time, Casemiro was against leaving leaving. But with the current situation having changed, he is now more open to the idea of joining Saudi Arabia and playing in the Middle East.

A number of Saudi clubs are still reportedly keeping an eye on Casemiro's situation, with Jeddah United still interested in signing him, while Riyadh Victory and Qadisiyah are also interested in him.

The challenge for most Saudi clubs in January is that their quota of foreigners is full, so in order to make a major deal they need to pay the foreigner liquidated damages or deregister the player from the league.

Riyadh Victory are in a good position to make a move, both in terms of squad and finances, and if Casemiro agrees to join the club, he will become one of the five highest-paid soccer players in Saudi Arabia. The team is so keen to land him that it actually began looking at the 32-year-old Brazilian three transfer windows ago, but the fact that the TV rights cycle is now set to be renewed later this year suggests that the club has higher funds to sign him.

Casemiro has made 22 appearances for United in all competitions this season, including 16 starts, and he has also scored three goals.
