West Ham United have made an offer to Graham Potter to replace Julen Lopetegui as head coach.

The Hammers have been exploring options to replace Lopetegui, who has come under increasing pressure in recent weeks following a run of poor results. West Ham have won just one of their last eight Premier League games, leaving them in the relegation zone.  

Potter has been out of work since being sacked by Chelsea in April 2023. He has been linked with a number of clubs since then, but this is the first time he has been offered a job.  

It is understood that West Ham have offered Potter a two-year contract. The deal is said to be worth around £4 million a year.

Potter is now considering the offer. He is believed to be keen on the job, but he is also aware of the challenges facing West Ham. The club are in a difficult position, both on and off the pitch.

If Potter does take the job, he will have a tough task on his hands. West Ham are struggling to score goals and they have a number of players out injured.

However, Potter is a talented coach and he has a good track record in the Premier League. He is also a young manager, so he has plenty of time to turn things around at West Ham.  

It remains to be seen whether Potter will accept West Ham's offer. But if he does, it will be a major coup for the club.
